Night 1: HANOI – SAPA

Hanoi tourism’s car and guide will pick you up at hotel to transfer Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to get to Lao Cai Station. Sleep on the train.

Day 1: SAPA–Y LINH HO–LAO CHAI SAN–LAO CHAI–TA VAN (B/L/D)

Arrival Lao Cai station, transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast at hotel. After that, we leave the hotel and start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai.

After that you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have dinner here.

Day 2: TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI – BAN HO (B/L/D)

After breakfast we continue to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai village where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf.

We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and arrive to the Tay village Ban Ho (900 m). If we reach Ban Ho in the early afternoon you will have time to swim in a nearby river. In the evening we have dinner with the Tay family.

Day 3: BAN HO – SAPA (B/L/D)

After breakfast you trek up to Ban Den (3 km). From here you will be picked up and transferred back to Sapa. In the afternoon you will have time to experience the colorful Sapa market where women from different ethnic minority groups come into town to sell their products. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 4: COC LY (TUESDAY) MARKET (B/L/D)

Leave from Sapa early at 7:00 am for Coc Ly market which is situated far from Sapa. Enjoy the peaceful life of 6 different minority peoples (Flower H’mong, Black Dzao, Tay, Dzay, Ha Nhi and Nung). The market is the chance for the minorities to meet and share joy and sorrows after the crops, to exchange one another’s experience. Say goodbye to the market and get down onto a boat along Chay river. You are bound to feel great and find yourselves smaller among high Rock Mountains and to be surprised at white and breathtakingly waterfalls. The Fairy Cave is located deeply in the rocks. Get off the boat to visit a village of the Tay Minority (Trung Do village) by the river. After the boat trip, visit a small town – Bao Nhai and then take car back to Lao Cai Station for the night train to Hanoi.

Have dinner at local restaurant before getting on the train. Arrive in Hanoi at early morning. The end of tour.
