The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will open a direct air route between Hanoi and Yangon, Myanmar, on March 2.
Hanoi-Yangon flights will serve the airlines’ passengers every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Vietnam Airlines will offer a one-way ticket at a price of VND4.62 million (USD250) for the flight from Vietnam to Yangon during the promotional period from March 2-31.
The airline plans to increase the number of flights on the route to five per week as by winter of this year.
